I love dogs. I know many people can relate to that statement. They are adorable creatures who express lots of affection and loyalty. Honestly we don’t deserve them. I have always wanted a dog, but sadly they are expensive and require a lot of care so my parents never got one. On top of that my mom is afraid of dogs, but I have been bitten by a dog and I am not scared of them so I don’t accept her fear. Lately I have been trying to convince my parents that getting a dog would be good for them because it would fill the hole in their hearts after I left for college, but all I receive from them are eye rolls or scoffs. The significance of letting your hair down

When initially presented, Jody was described to be a proud and ambitious man, someone who could treat Janie well and lead her to a happy, privileged life. But after Janie married Jody we saw that Jody was actually very self centered and oppressive. Jody reduced Janie to being nothing more than a prized possession. As years of their marriage passed he became more oppressive, but Janie submitted to his harmful nature. Eventually, “no matter what Jody did, she said nothing. She had learned how to talk some and leave some. She was a rut in the road. Plenty of life beneath the surface but it was kept beaten down by the wheels”. As time passed, it was discovered that Jody had damaged kidneys. Janie finally decided to confront Jody and he tells her that she never appreciated all that he did for her, while she replied back that he never let her have emotion. Jody died after the argument. Lee's obsession with making a mark on history

As Libra has started to come to a close, looking back on the journey of Lee Harvey Oswald has been intriguing. We have seen him since his beginnings as a young child to his end as a so called murderer. As a child, we see Lee as a “different child” who is different compared to his peers. At a young age, we see subtle hints of him wanting to be remembered, but it is not until he gets older that we see him try hardest. Out of all the things Lee does perhaps the most significant is the keeping of his diary. Throughout his military career and beyond, Lee writes in his diary to document his experiences. In one instance, for example, he talks about his encounter of telling a young woman he wants to apply for Soviet citizenship. In another, he describes slashing his wrist, attempting suicide. Though these accounts seem personal, as he continues to write we start to see otherwise. Lee writes about the occurrences in his life as if other people will be reading his diary.
